Rider Questions

How old do you have to be to start?   Riders must be at least 4 years old or order.    

Do you have to wear long pants?  Yes

Do you have to wear boots? No, tennis shoes are fine (must be closed toe and heal).  Our saddles are all equip with safety stirrups.  

How long are classes? Most classes are a half hour.  

Cost? Rider Registration Fee to sign up is $25, each class is $20.

Is financial assistant available? Yes, all you have to do is ask for the form or click here for it.

Do we riding US Veterans?  Yes, we have no age restrictions for our Veterans and the ride for free.  Thank you for your service.  

Volunteer Questions

How old do you have to be to help in class?  Volunteers to help in class must be at least 14 years old or older

Do you have to wear long pants?  No, but please no short shorts.

Do you have to have any horse experience?  No, we will train you.

Do you have to wear boots? No, tennis shoes are fine,  just make sure they are closed toe and heal and are sturdy.  

How many hours do you have to volunteer? That is up to you.

Do we have to pick certain times? No, but it is helpful

Directions from North/West (Peoria)….

Take Route I-74 East over the bridge.  Take the Camp Street Exit # 95B.  Go Through the 1st stop light, and turn right at the 2nd onto Meadows Avenue (Rt. 150).  Go 1 ½ miles, you will see a Red Barn-Shaped Sign on the Right for Fondulac Farm Park Museum/CIRT. Turn right onto Neumann Drive.  Go up the Hill and turn right into the park (first road on the right).  Specify to go past the Farm Park to the big red metal building in the back on the left.

Directions from the South (Springfield)….

Take Route I-55 North to I-155 North to I-74 West to Exit 96 (Washington Street). Turn Right onto E Washington Street.  1st stop light turn right onto Veterans Drive. Go thru 4-way stop sign.  Road comes to a T, turn right onto Meadows Ave (Rt. 150).  Go 1 ½ miles, you will see a Red Barn-Shaped Sign on the Right for Fondulac Farm Park Museum/CIRT. Directions from the East (Bloomington/Morton)…

Take Route I-74 West to Morton Exit # 102. Turn left onto N. Morton Ave.  Turn right onto W. Jackson Street (Rt. 150).  Go 4.7 miles, you will see a Red Barn-Shaped Sign on the Left for Fondulac Farm Park Museum/CIRT. Turn left onto Neumann Drive.  Go up the Hill and turn right into the park (first road on the right).  Specify to go past the Farm Park to the big red metal building in the back on the left.
